Handyman Nail Finder and Metal Detector
If you're into working with used lumber, whether it's old barn wood, exotic pallet scrap, or recycled mill timbers, then you know how thoroughly a single piece of metal can wreck a saw blade, a set of planer or jointer knives, a shaper cutter or a router bit. This lumber metal detector is a professional size handheld wand with detection path measuring 5" long by 2-1/2" wide.
It's the choice for highly portable scanning of boards and timbers, detecting large pieces of metal through as much as 6" of solid wood, and finding objects as small as a staple buried 1-1/4" deep.
The LED indicator light works in conjunction with either a high pitched audio alert for quiet conditions or a vibration alert for noisy situations. This detector also has 3 frequency settings to avoid interference from other electronic devices. There is also a low setting that reduces the detection range to eliminate false readings from other metal objects in proximity to the area being scanned.
Comes with a rubberized handle and detachable wrist strap to ensure a secure grip. The wand is 18" long and weighs 13-1/2 ounces. Uses a 9-volt battery, not included. Made in the USA.
