Tucson Cantina bread!

They say you find the most interesting things in .  Like cantina bread.  It has character—like an old adobe cantina well past the outskirts of town where weathered regulars wait out the heat of the day. 

This cantina bread is definitely a southwest bread with flavor but not heat, a mixture of sour cream, cilantro, and a subtle blend of south-of-the-border spices.

 We fed this cantina bread to visitors in our store.  Everyone loved it:

• “Perfect!  What a fun bread!”
• “Incredible!  My husband would love this.”
• “Great sandwich bread.  Maybe a grilled cheese sandwich.”
• “Makes we want a bowl of chili.”

This package contains one hearth bread mix to make a large loaf of nearly two pounds.

• An SAF yeast packet is enclosed.  You provide only water and melted butter.
• Directions are included.  
• Can be baked in a bread machine or in the oven.

Ingredients: Enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid), sugar, sour cream (sour cream powder (cream, cultures, and lactic acid), cultured nonfat milk solids, and citric acid), dry herbs including cilantro and onion, salt, spices, yeast (yeast, monostearate), natural flavor, and dough conditioner added for better baking (wheat flour, dextrose, soy flour, calcium salts, dicetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin, ascorbic acid, L-cysteine monohydrochloride, fungal enzymes, azodicarbonamide, and calcium iodate). This product contains wheat, soy, and dairy products and may contain traces of eggs, peanuts, or tree nuts.
