Gourmet Lingonberry Jam from Denmark (large 14 ounce jar)

Lingonberries grow best in harsh, damp, northern climes and are famous in Scandinavia and Denmark.  They are a beautiful bright red berry, a cousin to a cranberry, with a unique, intense flavor.  In Scandinavia, they are used not only as a jam but as a main dish accompaniment as with cranberry sauce or chutney.  Lingonberry jam goes well with both white and red meats.  It goes great as an ice cream topping.  Lingonberry and cream cheese on a bagel is superb. If you have never tried lingonberry spreads, you're in for treat.  These come in large, 14-ounce jars so you get nearly twice as much as with most gourmet spreads.  They are imported from Denmark and the best that we have found. Dr. Oz recommends daily use of lingonberries for our patients with diabetes, blood pressure challenges, and inflammatory concerns.
