Natela's Gold Standard 2011

Natela lives in a small village in the Caucasus Mountains of  the Georgian Republic.  For years she worked for the Soviet tea manufacturing business.  She is currently part of a village cooperative that grows, picks and processes tea by hand. 

She withers and dries the tea in her home and works it by hand to develop the leaves into the dark, long pieces we sell. 

This fine tea can be brewed as a black tea or use cooler water and re-steep like a green or oolong. Mild, distinctive taste, not bitter.
