Firex 244 Hearing Impaired Kit (wire-in w/2 strobes)

The Firex® 244 Hearing Impaired Kit (including model 499 Relay module, (2) 177 candela Strobe Light and Smoke Alarm) is ideal for hotels, apartments, hospitals, rest homes or whenever visible alarms are required and is a great way to meet the growing demand for fire safety protection in the hearing impaired market. The 41216Smoke Alarm has an 85 decibel horn, test switch and a lighted power/alarm LED indicator; the LED flashes once per minute to confirm AC power. When in alarm, the LED (41216 Smoke Alarm) flashes rapidly once per second. The GXS strobe light utilizes a Xenon flash tube which generates a high-intensity light, visible from all sides of the lens. The GXS Remote Strobe is intended to provide a visible notification signal for the purpose of life safety and property protection. The 41216 Smoke Alarm mounts to any single or 4” octagon junction box or square-to-round drywall ring and has 8” long pigtails with a Quick Connect harness for easy connection. Each kit contains all of the components necessary to install a smoke alarm/signaling device ideally suited to the needs of the hearing impaired. This kit from Firex® exceeds UL Standard 1971 “Signaling Devices for the Hearing Impaired” and ADA (American Disabilities Act) “Standard for Visual Alarms”. Allows for the remote placement of strobe light for maximum effectiveness.
