 BRK CO5120BN Carbon Monoxide Detector and Alarm(Battery Backup) is a wire-in, 120 VAC 60Hz single and / or multiple station carbon monoxide alarm specifically designed for residential and institutional applications including sleeping rooms of hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories and other multi-family dwellings as defined in standard NFPA 101 and complies with UL2034, NFPA 720, HUD, FHA and other agencies that model their codes after the above agencies. They meet building codes where AC/DC carbon monoxide alarms are required either separately or in combination. The alarms are interconnectable up to 18 devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms. When interconnected with alarming smoke alarms, unit will sound smoke horn pattern.Dust Coveris included to keep the alarm clean during construction.Easy Installation/Maintenancefeaturesinclude a large opening in the mounting bracket for easy access to wiring. A battery pull tab keeps the battery fresh until the home is occupied. A Side Load Battery Drawer allows for easy 9v battery replacement without removing the alarm from the ceiling or wall. Note: 1) This unit does not work without power. If the AC power fails, the battery back-up will power the alarm for at least 7 days provide the 9V battery is fresh and correctly installed.2) The Silence Feature is for your convenience only and will not correct a CO problem.
