Fishers ROVs are completely mobile, high performance underwater camera systems capable of moving in any direction. With an ROV your team can locate, inspect, and videotape an underwater target without having to enter the water.

The SeaLion-2 is Fishers top-of the-line ROV. It has four high performance motors that make it faster than the SeaOtter-2. In addition, even more thrust is available with a Power Boost feature that provides the ROV with an extra burst of speed when heavier currents are encountered. Other advantages are a 1,000 foot depth rated housing and the ability to operate with cable lengths up to 1,500 feet. Other features include front and rear facing color cameras with pan and tilt. Illumination for the front camera is provided by two powerful 100 watt tungsten halogen bulbs. Lighting for the rear camera is provided by a ring of high intensity LEDs.

System controls for the Sealion-2 are cleanly laid out in a high impact water proof case with an ultra bright 15 inch flat screen monitor built into the lid. Command of the ROV's thrusters, cameras, and lights are managed with a PS-2 controller. A wireless controller can also be used to give the operator even greater freedom. A gentle push on the vertical joystick propels the vehicle down into the depths, and a nudge on the horizontal sends the ROV flying over the ocean floor. The control panel has jacks and amplifiers which make it adaptable to the requirements of each job. A video output jack allows an additional remote monitor to be used simultaneously with the internal flat screen monitor. Other viewers can see the world below without crowding around the control console. An internal video amplifier adjusts picture quality to optimize the video for water clarity. Connect a VCR or DVD recorder and make a permanent record of the underwater scene. With the internal audio amplifier voice can also recorded with the video picture.

SeaLion-2 ROV Options SCAN-650 Scanning Sonar:

Scanning Sonar is an ideal tool for underwater search because it produces a "picture" of the underwater environment regardless of water visibility or condition. Fishers SCAN-650 is a high performance scanning sonar that can be mounted on an ROV or pole-mounted for use from a small boat in shallow water.

With Single Function (open/close) Manipulator Arm:

This manipulator arm consists of a single function (open/close), three finger claw capable of retrieving light weight samples from the ocean floor, attaching lines, or deploying an acoustic beacon. The arm and claw are constructed of high impact, corrosion proof PVC. The arm can be mounted to the vehicle for horizontal (side to side) opening/closing of the claw, or for vertical (up and down) opening/closing of the claw. Opening and closing of the claw is controlled by a switch mounted on the ROV's surface control unit.

With RMD-1 Metal Detector and Surface Display:

The RMD-1 detects both ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects under the ocean floor while ignoring minerals in the salt water and seabed. Equipped with the RMD-1 metal detector the ROV becomes a high tech search system capable of locating weapons, unexploded ordnance, pipelines, buried treasure, and other metal objects.

500 ft. Cable:

The SeaLion comes with a 250 foot cable. Select the 500 foot cable option and the SeaLion will be supplied with a 500 foot cable in place of the 250 foot cable. The ROV umbilical cable is a custom manufactured multi-conductor cable that has an outer poly-foam jacket which makes it neutrally buoyant. When purchasing the 500 foot cable it is recommended that in-line connectors also be purchased. The in-line connectors allow the cable to be divided into smaller sections which makes transport storage, and operation of the system much easier. It also allows the ROV to be operated with a shorter length of cable when the 500 foot length is not required for the job.

The in-line connectors allow long cables to be divided into smaller sections which makes transport storage, and operation of the system much easier. For example, with in-line connectors installed in the middle of a 1,000 foot cable, the cable can be divided into two 500 foot sections. The ROV can also be operated with a single 500 foot length when the longer length is not needed.

Basic Spare Parts Kit:

The basic spare parts kit has essential items necessary to make quick field repairs. The basic spare parts kit includes a replacement motor thruster assembly, a replacement dome, 2 replacement 100 watt light bulbs, replacement light housing with holder, 2 replacement legs, assorted o-rings, and hardware.

Basic on-screen Display for Time/Date/GPS:

The on-screen display allows important information to be overlaid on the video picture. The basic on-screen display shows the time, the date, and the boat's GPS position on the video monitor. Whether performing a job for a client or video tapping a favorite dive site the on-screen information can be viewed on the monitor and captured as a permanent record on a VCR. The on-screen display system works equally well with both NTSC and European PAL video format.

Additional Sensors for Compass/Depth/Temp:

The additional sensors for compass/depth/temp allow the ROV's compass heading, depth of the ROV, and water temperature at depth to be displayed on the video monitor. It is necessary to purchase the basic on-screen display before the additional sensors can be added.

Auto Depth Control:

This option allows the operator to keep the ROV constantly hovering at a selected depth.

Distance from bottom displayed on screen (only available on SeaLion-2):

The distance between the the ROV and the ocean bottom is displayed on the video monitor.

Auto Distance off bottom:

This option allows the operator to keep the ROV constantly hovering at a selected distance from the bottom.

Auto Heading:

This option allows the operator to keep the ROV on a selected compass heading.

Computer Control of ROV:

This option allows the operator to control the ROV constantly from a computer instead of using the control console.

DVD Recorder:

The DVD recorder connects to the control console to record the video picture from the ROV along with the On Screen Display data.

12 vdc (inverter):

The SeaLion is designed to be powered by a 120 vac voltage supply. If the available voltage supply is 12 vdc, this 12 vdc/120 vac inverter will convert the supply voltage to the required input voltage.

220 vac (transformer):

The SeaLion is designed to be powered by a 120 vac voltage supply. If the available voltage supply is 220 vac, this 220/120 vac step down transformer will reduce the supply voltage to the required input voltage.

Color PAL format Camera and Monitor (Europe):

A high resolution PAL color camera and monitor are supplied for those requiring this European video format.
