The factory Jeep hood latches are constructed of weak and stretch-prone rubber. These hood latches allow the hood to flutter while the vehicle is in motion; only the secondary safety catch keeps the hood from flying open. The problem is even more apparent once the vehicle has been lifted. The hood shake or “flutter,” which is annoying and often unsettling, has a very easy fix with Daystar’s Hood Wranglers. The Hood Wranglers upgrade the weak factory latches by replacing the rubber pieces with a heavy-duty Polyurethane material.
