"The Rattlesnake" by Frederic Remington

 Of all his bronze sculptures, this was Frederic Remington's own favorite.  The Rattlesnakeis a dynamic achievement of action, danger and realism permanently suspended in motion.  The lean and quick rider lifted out of the saddle, clenches the reins and holds firm his hat with the other hand, as his horse rears away from the rattlesnake just a pulse away.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views of this stunning sculpture. We have cast The Rattlesnake in our own California art foundry using 57 lbs.
