"The Broncho Buster" (stainless steel) by Frederic Remington

 Originally conceived in 1895, The Broncho Buster was Frederic Remington's first sculpture.  It has since come to symbolize all that is triumphant and heroic of the American West.  The Broncho Buster reflects Remington's attention to detail, along with his ingenious rendering of intense movement combined with a delicate sense of balance.  A casting of Remington's The Broncho Buster sculpture has resided in The White House since Theodore Roosevelt's presidency. Remington was the first sculptor in the U.S. to cast his bronze sculptures using the superior "lost wax" casting method.  He was constantly experimenting with new casting techniques and adapting his artwork to maximize their impact.  Although Remington did not cast his artworks in stainless steel, we like to think that he would have tried casting in stainless steel were it available during his lifetime.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional images of its tremendous detail, down to the level of the buckles on the saddlebags and the stainless steel reins.  We apologize that, because of the highly reflective surface of the stainless steel, it is difficult to provide images here that show this sculpture in its full beauty. We have cast The Broncho Buster using 42 lbs. (19 kg) of the highest grade of stainless steel.  The sculpture has a dazzling polished finish that looks terrific whether installed in an interior setting or outside.  Unlike Remington sculptures cast in silver, stainless steel offers the advantage of being highly resistant to tarnishing, so that its beautifully reflective surface is naturally maintained. The Broncho Buster is mounted onto a black marble base.  Including the marble, it stands 24½" high by 19" wide by 10" deep (62 cm high x 48 cm wide x 25 cm deep).  The sculpture is signed "Frederic Remington" in its stainless steel base.  Each sculpture is also stamped with its unique number in our total edition limited to just 100 castings. This is a fine sculpture, made to the highest standards.  We guarantee your satisfaction. For more information or to arrange international shipment, please call us at 818.841.7979 or send email to info@artbronze.com.
