"Starfish Dancer" by D. H. Chiparus

 The starfish-design costume of this Art Deco sculpture by Demetre H. Chiparus (Romanian/French, 1886-1947) takes full advantage of the capabilities of our "lost wax" bronze casting technique to render amazing detail in bronze.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views. We have cast Starfish Dancer in our own California art foundry using 10 lbs.
