"Hunter with Hounds" by H.F. Moreau and P. Lecourtier

 This classic sculpture was created by two popular artists working in partnership:  Hippolyte-Francois Moreau (French, 1832-1917) sculpted the hunter and Prosper Lecourtier (French, 1851-1924) sculpted the dogs.  Its title in the original French is Piqueur au Relais.  Hunter with Hounds depicts a French huntsman of the Louis XV period out in the field accompanied his two hounds.  The sculpture has terrific detail.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views, and then click on any image to enlarge it.  We have cast Hunter with Hounds in our own California art foundry using over 50 lbs.
