"Captivity" by Jean-Louis Grégoire

 This gorgeous sculpture by 19th century sculptor Jean-Louis Grégoire (French, 1840-1890) depicts a youth clipping the wings of a dove to ensure its captivity.  Its great detail and introspective mood showcase this artist's tremendous talent.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views. We have cast this sculpture in our own California art foundry using 36 lbs.
