"Butterfly Dance" by D.H. Chiparus

 This is a very desirable bronze sculpture of a lovely lady doing the Butterfly Dance by famed Art Deco artist Demetre Chiparus (Romanian/French, 1886-1947).  Standing tall on her tip toes with her arms high out to the side, she holds up her long ankle-length pleated skirt.  She arches her back and looks to her side in a mid-dance pose.  She is elegantly dressed in a patterned and finely detailed dress and wears a patterned headpiece.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional views.. We have cast Butterfly Dance in our own California art foundry using 14 lbs.
