"Bull and Cow" by Jules Moigniez

This is a lovely antique diminutive pair of a bull and cow by Jules Moigniez (French, 1835-1894).  They would make a perfect addition to the desktop of a rancher.  Please click on the thumbnail images above to see additional  views.

These miniature sculptures were cast in bronze in France in the 19th century.  Each bronze is signed by the artist.  Mounted onto their original slate bases that were custom-shaped to fit the bronzes, each animal stands about 3" high by 5" wide (7 cm high x 12 cm wide).  Condition is consistent with the age of these items, with some corrosion on the base of the bronzes, some areas of patina wear and chips to the edges of the slate bases. This is a fine antique pair of bronzes, made to high standards.  We guarantee your satisfaction.
