Getting listed on MonsterMarketplace® can help you gain the attention your online store needs. All merchants operating on the Network Solutions e-commerce platform are eligible for a FREE listing in MonsterMarketplace. Below are answers to some commonly asked questions about MonsterMarketplace:

Q. How does MonsterMarketplace® work?
A. MonsterMarketplace allows shoppers to search its directory by keyword, so it is important for merchants to submit accurate descriptions of their products and services. Therefore, merchants are encouraged to use only keywords that are relevant to their business.
MonsterMarketplace shoppers may also search by category. Merchants should select the categories that best describe their store. By choosing the appropriate categories, merchants can help shoppers find their stores.

Q. What is the cost to submit a basic MonsterMarketplace listing?
A. Submission to MonsterMarketplace is FREE.

Q.
Are there any requirements to be listed in MonsterMarketplace?
A. Yes, please see below:
- Customer Service contact information must be posted on your site.
- Your site must be cross-browser compatible and slow connection speed friendly.
- Store submissions must comply with MonsterMarketplace Terms of Service.
- All MonsterMarketplace submissions must contain unique and accurate keywords and descriptions that differ from your site.
- NO illegal or offensive Web sites will be accepted. Sites that contain and/or link to pornographic or sexually related material/images, including, but not limited to, adult toys, adult DVDs or lingerie that is too explicit in nature, are not allowed in MonsterMarketplace, nor will they be considered for acceptance.
- MonsterMarketplace listings are available exclusively for MonsterCommerce storeowners.

Q.
Will my contact information be displayed to the public in MonsterMarketplace?
A. No, any personal information you enter in the submission form will not be viewable to the public. However, you can add store-related information, such as customer service information, shipping methods and return policies, using your storefront admin panel. The store-related information you submit will be displayed on your MonsterMarketplace store landing page. This QuickGuide can help you get started. |

Since submission is free, what's the catch?
A. There's no catch. Our motivation for building the MonsterMarketplace® directory is to provide added exposure for our clients and make shopping easy for their clients. |
Q. How can I check to see if my store has been listed in MonsterMarketplace yet?
A. If you think your store is listed in MonsterMarketplace, but you can't seem to find your listing, you can use our a href="http://monstermarketplace.com/merchantsearch.asp" class="lp">Merchant Search to locate your listing. |
Q. How long after submitting my store does it take to be listed in MonsterMarketplace?
A. Once your submission is received, it must undergo an editorial review and meet basic Submission Guideline. This process can take anywhere from a few days up to a maximum of two weeks. |

After I have received my submission approval e-mail, how long does it take for my products to start showing up in the search results?
A. The search within MonsterMarketplace is powered by the Google® Search Appliance. The Appliance is constantly indexing the millions of products within MonsterMarketplace. As a result, it may take up to two weeks for your products to begin appearing in the search results. |
Q. How much traffic can I expect from my MonsterMarketplace listing?
A. The number of clicks your MonsterMarketplace listing receives is determined by what users are searching for and how relevant your listings are to those searches. A MonsterMarketplace listing can receive as much as hundreds or even thousands of search-targeted clicks per month. |
Q.
Why does the title of my store not match the name of my actual store?
A. The titles for stores in MonsterMarketplace are created using rich keywords that reflect what your store has to offer. For example, if your store's name is "About Something, Inc.," and you sell candles. Then, your MonsterMarketplace store title should be "Scented & Gel Candles." The reasoning behind this is your targeted customers are more likely to search for "scented candles" or "gel candles," as opposed to "About Something, Inc." A title using the appropriate keywords will only help your customers find you. |

How do I achieve top ten listings for my store/products in the search results page?
A. MonsterMarketplace search is powered by Google® Search Appliance, which utilizes algorithms to return relevant search results. Therefore, we recommend that all merchants write relevant and accurate product descriptions and meta tag data for their stores and products. These steps can enhance a merchant's chances of earning top listings. |
Q.
Why aren't images being shown for some of my products even though I have images on my site?
A. Currently MonsterMarketplace is set to display a false image when it takes too long to retrieve the original image from the merchant Web site. This delay often occurs when there is a significant amount of traffic on your site when the request is being made. Using a false image can help speed up the load time. |
Q.
I recently changed my domain name. Do I have to resubmit my store to maintain my MonsterMarketplace listing?
A. If the content is the same and just your domain name has changed, the answer is NO. Just submit a trouble ticket from your admin panel notifying us of the change, and it will be applied automatically to MonsterMarketplace. On the other hand, if you are using an entirely new Web site, you must resubmit your Web site and undergo the review process again. |
Q.
Is it possible to change the category and subcategory that my store appears under?
A. Yes, simply submit a trouble ticket via the admin panel, stating your domain name and the current category and subcategory you are listed under. You must also provide the new category and subcategory you wish to be moved to. Your request will be processed within 48 hours. |

What if my goods and services do not fit in any of the MonsterMarketplace categories and subcategories?
A. Choose the category and subcategory that best describes your business. We will be adding additional categories and subcategories in the future. |
Q.
Can I change or edit my listing?
A. Unfortunately, MonsterMarketplace does not allow you to modify your listing on your own at this time. Take your time and edit your content before submitting your store. This way you can be sure all the information you have entered is accurate. If you notice a major error in your listing after submission, please submit a trouble ticket from your storefront admin panel. An editor will update your listing. |
Q.
Since I've made changes to my site, the thumbnail in my store listing doesn't match what my site looks like anymore. How do I update my thumbnail to reflect the changes?
A. You are able to update your store thumbnail within the MonsterMarketplace Plug-In, located in your storefront admin panel. Your thumbnail will automatically update every 30 days from the day you refresh the image. |
Q.
How do I earn the best possible listing?
A. It is important to use relevant keywords in the descriptions and keyword fields when composing the listing for your store. Currently, we are using the Google® Search Appliance for our Web site search. The Appliance uses the same methods as Google when searching the Web to determine the relevancy of a page.

Q. Why are there errors on some of my products pages in the MonsterMarketplace?
A. You may have HTML code for Java Script pop-ups in your description. Or, you are "hot linking" images. |
Q. How are the three "Popular Items" images chosen on my MonsterMarketplace listing?
A. The "Popular Items" are the three items that have received the most traffic on your site over the past 30 days. As time passes, these images can change, based on increased traffic to other items available on your site.

Q. Why do I not have any "Store Categories" showing on my MonsterMarketplace listing?
A. There are three possibilities why your "Store Categories" may not be showing up on your MonsterMarketplace listing.
- The categories and subcategories on your site may be hidden.
- The categories and subcategories on your site may not have any products in them.
- The manufacturers associated with the products on your site may be hidden.
If you choose to unhide the categories, subcategories or manufacturers on your site, please note that these changes will not only affect the appearance of your MonsterMarketplace listing, but they will also affect the way your products are displayed on your site. By allowing more categories, subcategories and manufacturers to be unhidden, your listing in MonsterMarketplace will provide customers with more links to your products, which could potentially bring you more business.
