Black Cat Mug by What Cheer Pottery, 4-3/8" tall, 16 oz. Original hand-drawn artwork, handthrown, black & grey overlapping glaze, microwave & dishwasher safe. These are limited edition pieces-get them while you can! Kate & Jere Huffman, What Cheer Pottery,are two of the original founders of the Gallery, and Kate’s luscious resist glazing makes these fine stoneware mugs truly unique. Potters since 1972, their studio is located in What Cheer, Iowa,  on land housing a former sewer pipe factory complete with large beehive kilns. The Huffmans harvested some of this firebrick for their own kilns. Each mug represents about two months process of preparing clay, throwing, firing, glazing and another glaze firing. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
