Chobits Collection 1 (volumes 1-3) (2004)(3-DVD's in One Pack) [Rated NR]

This is just a review of the box, since there are already MANY reviews of the series! + This contains the first 3 DVDs of the Chobits series, with each DVD containing 4 episodes on each disc. On one side of the box there's a nice picture of Chii (the main character) sitting outside. The other side of the box is clear, so that shows the cover of whichever DVD is facing out. The box is basic plastic, but it's sturdy enough to hold the DVDs as long as you take care of it. I only wish the box was a bit sturdier, and the spine of it was more detailed (and attractive) with the series name clearly written on it. As it is, it only has small writing on it and bits of background art and Chii's hair. (?) Putting this and the 2nd box side by side looks a bit funny, but that's me getting a little too collector obsessive. =) There are no new extras added to the DVDs, but thankfully Geneon kept the nice insert/poster in each seperate DVD (these are sometimes skipped when DVDs are re-released in box sets) Each DVD case is clear, and on the reverse side of the cover there's very nice artwork. So this is a great buy if you've been waiting to buy this series on the cheap (I've also seen this in stores for $40)- but if you already own the Chobits DVDs there is NO reason to "double dip"!
