Sugarman feels their success is due to two main factors:

1. Focus on core product line: This strategy allows them to compete at the highest level in the segmented golf marketplace. Discountgolfshoes.com is a golf shoe specific site. Although now selling a few related products, the main focus is still on golf shoes.

2. Professional assistance: Jeff Master, an in-house web designer, was brought on board to enhance design, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and web hosting options for the site. Jeff found that MonsterCommerce's options helped him increase the site's rankings leading to more sales.
