Q: What does deleting the EGR Valve and cooler do for my truck? A: By deleting the egr cooler you are exhausting all your exhaust gases thru the turbo and your coolant is not flowing thru a heating element (EGR Cooler) which in turn gives you cooler coolant temps. The best way to check for this is to look for your coolant line that runs parallel to the exhaust manifold. A hard black line will be found on the 07.5-09 models. A stainless braided line will be found on the 2010+ models. If you have an 07.5-09 with a braided stainless line the 2010+ EGR Delete Kit is required.
