From 2003 - 2006 the U.S. Mint produced 12 different Jefferson nickels. The new designs, the first in 65 years, were issued in honor of the Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition. These special nickels were struck at both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. These historic nickels have been difficult to find..... until now!
