Details

The District of Columbia quarter holds the unique distinction of being the first coin released in the U.S. Mint's District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarter Program. The design features native son Duke Ellington, the internationally renowned composer and musician, seated at a grand piano with the inscriptions, District of Columbia , Duke Ellington and Justice for All, the District's motto. The District of Columbia was created in 1790 and became the Nation's capital on December 1, 1800. The 10-square mile site, originally part of Maryland and Virginia , was chosen personally by President George Washington to fulfill the need for a new Federal district that would not be part of any state. We are offering complete banker's rolls (40-coins) of the new District of Columbia quarters for just $10 + $4 S&H. In addition the first 1,000 customers who buy a roll will also receive FREE of charge, a special collector edition District of Columbia quarter totally layered in pure 24-kt gold.

Limit 3 per customer.
