1982 George Washington Silver Half Dollar PCGS PR69 DCAM Autographed By 33RD U.S. Mint Director This commemorative silver half dollar is a fun collectible item and would make a nice gift for a coin collector. This coin holds the unique distinction of being the first commemorative half dollar issued by the U.S. Mint since 1954. The coin was issued to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of George Washington. It was also the first 90% silver coin produced since 1964. Certified PR69 DCAM by PCGS, the inserts of these coins have been autographed by Donna Pope who was the 33rd Director of the U.S. mint. The coins have a low certified population of 4,004 coins in grade.
