The Cradlepoint MBR1000 and MBR1100 WiFi routers have been discontinued and replaced by the Cradlepoint MBR1200 Failsafe Gigabit 3G/4/G 802.11n WiFi router.

The CradlePoint MBR1100 has all of the features of our popular CradlePoint MBR1000 and adds support for 4G capable modems as well as VPN (IPSec) support. The MBR1100 is a robust 802.11N router with 3G/4G failover capability for homes, small offices and enterprises seeking to implement continuous, always-available connectivity. With its built-in failover capability, the MBR1100 detects when the primary uplink is lost, and automatically switches from wired service to a wireless backup through cellular a broadband connection.

Range and Speed

The MBR1100 leads the Cellular Router market by providing 802.11 N technology for superior WLAN distance and bandwidth, and includes Express Card and USB modem ports with a wide list of compatible cellular modems. The MBR1100 supports both EVDO and HSDPA networks along with the new Clear/Xohm 4G WiMax network.

Equipped with 2 USB ports and 1 Express Card slot, the unit allows a backup cellular modem connection that can be equipped with a router data plan. With this, cellular charges only apply when you need it - when your wireline is down - allowing your business to be continuously connected. You can even use your data-capable handset, Smartphone, or even a Blackberry as a backup even if you don’t have a modem account set up yet!

In addition, 802.11N technology gives you the increased speed and in-building penetration vs. 802.11 b/g networking.
