The 900MHz band is the band that Nextel is rebanding/moving to in select markets. This system will be added to an existing Nextel 800 MHz system as the Nextel system standby frequency is in the 800 MHz spectrum. Once the call is placed, the phone will roll to the 900 MHz spectrum in select markets. In your area, the 900MHz band may or may not be operating.

The Cellular Specialties Model 150 In-Building Amplifier, featuring 50dB of gain on the 900MHz Nextel/SMR band, is the perfect solution for small office/home office installations. The easy to install BDA was designed for placement on a desk or countertop but can be wall mounted if preferred. The Model 150 provides, as standard, the following integrated features:

• The Model 150 continuously monitors its operation and responds by reducing the gain of the amplifier to eliminate an unstable condition.
• Automatic Gain Control (AGC) lowers the amplifier gain in order to reduce strong signals.
• The overload shutdown with automatic recovery features detects very strong signals that cannot be adequately controlled by the AGC. The amplifier will disable itself and then attempt to recover. The amplifier is active for a very brief period of time (less than 30 milliseconds) until the overload condition is eliminated.
• Higher power output than any other amplifiers in its class with approximately 100 milliwatts (+20dBm) in the uplink and downlink for all models.

This product is the amplifier only - does not include cabling and antennas which are required to make a complete system.

Items required for a complete system:

• Exterior antenna, typically 800-940MHz Yagi
• Interior antenna(s), typically the Cellular Specialties Tri-Band Omnidirectional Ceiling Mount Dome
• CSI Dual-Band splitter to connect more than one interior antenna, 2-way, 3-way, 4-way
• Cabling to connect components: LMR-400 for shorter runs, LMR-600 for longer runs
• Lightning protection is suggested to protect amplifier against exterior antenna lightning strikes
