The Direct Connect (inline) Bi-directional Amplifier improves RF coverage in areas with no signal or low signal strength. The unit amplifies 800MHz AMPS, TDMA, CDMA and GSM signals and passes through 1900MHz PCS signals providing up to 3 Watts of output power on the 800MHz band. Increases your phone's coverage up to 50 miles or more (under ideal conditions.)

Works with all 800MHz Cellular Service Providers except iDEN (Nextel/Southern LINC/Mike). Not recommended for 1900MHz PCS Carriers.

How the unit functions:

The 800MHz cellular signal from the cell site is received by the Wilson Cellular antenna (sold separately). The signal is then amplified and transmitted to your phone through the Wilson Cellular phone adapter cable (sold separately). When the phone transmits, the signal is sent to the amplifier through the adapter and then amplified and sent to the cell site through the outside antenna. 1900MHz PCS signals gain the benefit of the antenna but are not amplified. Compatible with:

Recommended for Verizon, Alltel, US Cellular, Midwest Wireless and other 800MHz cellular carriers. Not recommended for Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, Qwest or AT&T GSM users.

Dual-Band or 1900MHz users/carriers should use the 811201 - Wilson Cellular 800MHz/1900MHz Dual-Band 3 Watt Direct Connection Amplifier

Ideal for use with car kits requiring an external antenna. Adapter may be required to connect to your particular car kit.
