801245-EZKit-Plus: Wilson Cellular In-Building Wireless Dual-Band SOHO Cellular/PCS Amplifier/Repeater COMPLETE KIT

This kit is identical to the 801245-EZKit except that it contains the MB825 Multi-band directional antenna instead of the M54 Dual-band omnidirectional antenna.

The MB825 Multi-band directional antenna provides better service with weaker signal but is directional therefore the system will only work for whichever carrier or carriers are on the tower you aim the antenna towards.

The Wilson Electronics 801245 SOHO Wireless Dual-Band Amplifier has been carefully engineered to enhance the performance of your cell phone or cellular data card in small office/home office applications. Its advanced technology is designed to significantly improve voice and data signal quality and reduce disconnects and drop-outs. The amplifier works with two antennas: one antenna communicates with the cell site (the outside antenna) and the other communicates with your cell phone or laptop data card (the inside antenna).

The outside antenna will collect the outside signal and send it through a cable to the amplifier. The signal is then boosted and sent through a cable to the inside antenna, which communicates with your cell phone or data card. When the cell phone or data card transmits, the inside antenna picks up the signal and sends it to the amplifier where it is boosted and sent through the outside antenna to the cell site.

This SOHO Kit is designed to provide up to 2500+ sq ft of coverage and includes:

• MB825 Multi-band directional antenna
• 40' LMR-240 N/Male to FME/Female Cable
• 801245 Wilson Cellular SOHO Dual-Band Amplifier/Repeater
• 951104 - Wilson 20' RG-58 coax N/Male to FME/Female (Amplifier to Dome antenna)
• 301121WPS - Dual-Band (Multi-Band) Dome

The directional multi-band is typically mounted on the edge of the roof nearest the cellular tower (typically using pole mount - not included). The antenna must be aimed at the cell tower. The 40' LMR-240 cable has the correct ends to connect between the fiberglass antenna and SOHO amplifier. The EA-1089 screws into the interior antenna connector on the SOHO amplifier.

Important Information Regarding Coverage:

• This amplifier/repeater, with appropriate antennas, is designed to cover a small office/home office sized area and is not designed to penetrate multiple interior walls or drive multiple interior antennas. In order to cover larger areas, penetrate multiple interior walls or drive multiple interior antennas you should consider our higher power systems: 800MHz Cellular Kit, 1900MHz PCS Kit, or Dual-Band Cellular/PCS Kit
• Coverage is dependent upon the strength of the signal received from the tower at the outside antenna. At the location that the outside antenna is mounted a signal strength of at least 3 bars is required. Use of a high-gain directional antenna for the outside antenna improves coverage area.

Optional Interior and Exterior Antenna Upgrades:

• Outside antenna: For maximum performance, it is highly recommended that the outside antenna be located outside of the building although under certain conditions the antenna may be located inside near a window:
  • M54 9dB Fiberglass exterior antenna: High gain omni-directional antenna supporting both frequency bands
  • 301101 - Wilson Cellular Trucker: Omni-directional good performing antenna which supports both frequency bands
  • 489-DB: Digital Antenna Multi-Band Directional Antenna: High gain directional multi-band antenna. As the antenna is directional, it generally limits you to one carrier.
  • 301111 - Single-band 800MHz Directional Yagi: Higher performance but supports 800MHz band only. Use CheckZip to try to determine the band(s) licensed by your carrier in your zipcode
  • 301124 - Single-band 1900MHz Directional Yagi: Higher performance but supports 1900MHz band only. Use CheckZip to try to determine the band(s) licensed by your carrier in your zipcode

Antenna separation:

In order for your system to function properly, you must maintain adequate separation between the interior and exterior antennas. This SOHO amplifier requires a minimum of 20' of separation between the outside and inside antennas. When the MB825 directional antenna is used for the outside antenna, ensure that it is not pointed at the interior antenna.

Cable:

This kit comes with 40 ft of cable. If additional cable is required we have a variety of coax extensions available. The 801245 Wilson Cellular SOHO amplifier has FME/Male coax connectors so ensure that the cabling you purchase has an FME/Female connector. In general, our RG-58/LMR-195 will have the appropriate connectors. Our LMR-400 cables will require an N/Female to FME/Female adapter. We recommend adding only 15' of RG-58/LMR-195 as the additional loss will affect system performance. For longer cable additions please use LMR-400.
