Holy Family Nativity Figures - Italian Hand Carved - Pema (#32001)
These nativity figures are small works of art. The statues includes tiny details like the touches of gold, careful accents and the exquisite painting of the faces.
The Christ Child is carved loose from the manger, allowing you to separate the figure until Christmas morning. This arms are outstretched and the tiny figure is carved in the round. There is gold metallic trim around his swaddling clothes and on the cloth and halo underneath Him on the manger.
Mary is looking down ward and her hand is outstretched. Her robe is a soft blue color with gold detailing along the edge. She has a rose colored gown underneath.
St. Joseph is gazing down at the Baby Jesus. He is holding a lantern carved with space that holds the lit candle inside. His brown robe is edged with gold metallic and he is wearing sandals.
This exquisite nativity from Pema workshops in the Val Gardena region of Northern Italy. Pema workshops are famous since the 17th century for incomparable woodcarving. Designed by E. Kostner and hand carved from lindenwood and carefully hand painted. Expect slight variations from the photo due to the handcrafted nature of these carvings.
