Our Catholic store is please to bring you this wonderfuly crafted piece, directly imported from the Wild Goose Studios in Ireland. Cast by hand in Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland, this Irish Guardian Angel of Home and Family has an outer shell of pure bronze with an inner core of cast resin material for stability. Each piece is made entirely by hand, with no two being exactly alike. Since ancient times, bronze has been a highly prized metal for the making of tools, jewelry and statues. It is an alloy of copper, which was first mined in Ireland over 4000 years ago. Bronze pieces can be placed outdoors where they will acquire a green patina over time. It can be left to age naturally or polished occasionally with a soft cloth and beeswax to retain its finish. The guardian angel of home and family is an original design by Joanna Scott-McCarthy.
