Over the years Taize has become an important and unique spiritual landmark for many English-speaking people around the world, and for this reason the majority of the chants on this recording are in English. Where chants originate in Latin, new verses have been carefully composed to match them and to retain that distinctive and prayerful sound for which Taize has become internationally known.
