Over the years people have inqured about the artwork Dan Schutte has created for the covers of his music collections.  The original art is in the form of large oil paintings.  Dad has agreed to have Pilgrim Music offer his paintings to the public in the form of superb giclee art prints.  Giclee is a process developed in recent years for printing exquisite color reproductions of art on artist canvas, the same material used in the original painting.

The reproductions are printed on premius artist canvas stretched and mounted (gallery wrapped) over a 1 5/8" wood frame.  They can be purchased in two sizes, 24"x24" and 32"x32".  The larger size approximates the size of Dan's original paintings.  But we offer the smaller size for those who may have limited wall space.  Although these gallery wrapped canvas prints can be displayed as is, as done in many art galleries, we also offer a framed version.  The frame is what's called a "floating frame" (see details below) designed specifically for the framing of painted canvases.  The frame adds 3/4" to each side of the canvas, so the framed canvas dimensions are 25 1/2 x 25 1/2 and 33 1/2 x 33 1/2.

Frame Details

Gallery wrapped canvas is mounted withing a wooden "floating" frame specifically made for oil paintings.

The frame adds 3/4" to each side of the painting, so the final dimensions of the framed giclee is

25 1/2 x 25 1/2 (smaller size) and 33 1/2 x 33 1/2 (larger size).
