United States Coast Guard Navigation Rules International and Inland
This is the official government rule book required on all vessels over 40' feet in length. Also known as NavRules CG169, contains the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972 (72 COLREGS), incorporating amendments, which became effective on November 19, 1989 and November 1995. Also includes the Inland Navigation Rules which have been in effect for all inland waters, including the Great Lakes, since Mar. 1, 1983. International rules and inland rules for similar subjects are printed side-by-side for comparison.
