The Navy Working Parka made with GORE-TEX® fabric provides exceptional comfort and protection with a lighter-weight, less bulky construction. This multi-purpose garment is designed for use in even the harshest conditions.

The parka features a new zip-in fleece liner for more versatility and more opportunities to remain dry, warm, comfortable and focused in the field.

The construction uses a proprietary GORE-TEX® fabric that is 40-percent softer and quieter than previous ECWCS fabrics to help you operate more effectively. It’s engineered to remain durably waterproof even after exposure to contaminants, such as jet fuel, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, DEET, oils and lubricants.

Only routine machine washing and drying is required to maintain performance and extend the life of the garment.

CARE:

Important: Follow the care instructions included with the garment for best results as the other components in the garment may be adversely affected by the care process for this specific fabric. Please check the garment care label before you begin. A more complete version of these care tips is located in the Care and Repair section.

Wash: Protective clothing should be washed separately. This stops possible contaminants from spreading to everyday clothing. For optimum cleaning results, wash protective clothing right-side out (reflective strips outwards). Before washing, remove any detachable metal parts and inscriptions from the back, and ensure pockets are empty. Close garment zippers, and close and cover all Velcro® fasteners to prevent deposits of foreign matter or textile damage. Do not chlorinate. Do not use fabric softener. For stain removal, use a pre-wash treatment. Follow the manufacturer’s pre-wash instructions. Rinse well.

Rinse: All detergent residues must be removed during the rinsing process. This can require a total of four rinses.

Dry: Protective clothing can be dried in the tumble dryer. This method is recommended for maintenance of the garment’s durable water-repellent treatment. For tumble drying, clothing should be right-side out (reflective strips outwards).

Spin-dry: Protective clothing can be spin-dried. To achieve better drying results for insulated garments, turn inside out (insulating lining outwards) and spin-dry a second time.

Bleach: Do not use chlorine bleach. This will only tear the garment and has no bleaching effect.
