GERMAN DUELING SABER SCHLAGER
Blackened steel hilt with ribbed black leather covered grip. 33 1/2 curved broad fullered blade marked Weyersberg &Ã‚Â Stamm at the forte, with characteristic squared cutting point. That feature allowed for the angled cheek cut, the scar from which which was deemed to be the mark of manhood in Germany at the time. Duels with the schlager were stylish and popular among students and military officers. Hilt excellent. Blade bright with good marks and some edge nicks from use.
