Mount the single unit AIS receiver to any standard marine antenna mount (antenna mount not included). 2. Load the USB driver. 3. Install the Signal Converter near your computer, radar or chart plotter. Connect the USB cable to your computer or connect the serial cable to your chart plotter or radar. There's no need to run a separate power line if you use the USB connector since power is supplied to SafePassage through the USB port. If you use the serial connector you need to power the SafePassage with 12V DC. NOTE: In the event that your vessel's 12V power supply or your inverter fails, your laptop's battery will act as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for both your navigation system and SeaCAS SafePassage.
