Sporting the look of a vulcanized sole, with the protection of a cup sole, the Emerica KSL-DOS is a sleeker version of Kevin "Spanky" Long's first shoe, the KSL1. For the KSL-DOS, Sole Tech also added an extra layer of leather in the toe for added durability and System G2 Six Shooter Gel in the heel for cushioning.
