Our most popular line of Cupolas is built using an innovative material that is even more durable and rugged than natural wood. Good Directions' Vinyl Cupolas are constructed from solid vinyl plank and board that are much more substantial than other PVC or PVC coated products in the marketplace, and are topped with 16-ounce 24-guage copper. The high-quality vinyl construction makes these cupolas extremely durable, weather resistant, and virtually maintenance free! They are unaffected by rain, snow, humidity, salt air, or pesky insects. They don't need painting, but can be easily painted to complement any structure. All cupolas come in three sections - roof, middle and base- for easy installation and delivery, and include a detailed installation guide. All Good Direction cupolas come weathervane ready with mounting hardware built inside. Good Direction Vinyl Cupolas are designed for a roof pitch up to a 10" rise per foot (know as a 10/12 pitch) - most roofs are not steeper than this. However, if the roof pitch is steeper than a 10/12 pitch, up to a 12/12 pitch, you will need to include an extension base with your cupola order. For roofs up to a 14/12 pitch two extension bases are required. It is important that you order your extension base (if needed) at the same time you order your cupola. You may want to consider a Castle Cupola if your roof pitch is greater than a 10/12 pitch. Please note that all measurements are approximate, and square size is measured at the roofline.
