STAMPS- 2000 U. S. POSTAL SERVICE - BASEBALL'S LEGENDARY PLAYING FIELDS ISSUE PANE OF 20 34-CENT STAMPS This Stamp pane commemorates ELEVEN of the MLB legendary playing fields. These fields wer built duing a time when their dimensions were shapped by their urban surroundings; thus they had quirks and irregularities that made them unique and endearing. The back of each stamp highlights the features of the ballpark. 34 cent stamps on Ten of the fields make one of these stamp panes. The 11th park commemorated, Sportsmans Park in St. Louis, appears across the top of the pane. The TEN ballparks commemorated on this pane are; (there are two stamps for each of the TEN teams); Tiger Stadium - Detroit Yankee Stadium - New York City Forbes Field - Pittsburgh Commisky Park - Chicago Wrigley Field - Chicago Ebbets Field - Brooklyn Crosley Field - Cincinnati Polo Grounds - New York City Fenway Park - Boston Shibe Park - Philadelphia
