Kershaw Tyrade, Designed by Ken Onion for Kershaw Knives, the new Tyrade has features that'll have knife enthusiasts raving. With Kershaw's new patent-pending composite blade technology, the Tyrade delivers exactly the steel you need where you need it. The spine features an extremely tough, high-temperature alloy (originally designed for jet engines) 154CM stainless steel. But the cutting edge is built of CPM-D2 for precision sharpening, corrosion resistance, and toughness. These two steels have been fused together. And once you get beyond the function, there's the dramatic form. Carbon fiber inlays in the handle and on the blade provide for a one-of-a-kind look that you'll be proud to own. For ease of use, the Tyrade has a big, beefy handle with zirconium carbo-nitride coating for a durable finish. Even better, the Tyrade features the patented Ken Onion SpeedSafe assisted opening system for smooth, easy opening. The Tyrade's one-handed, index-finger opening design makes it smooth and easy to deploy for both left and right handed customers. A frame lock ensures the blade stays securely in place until the user closes it. A removable pocket clip is also included.
Overall Length: 8 5/8 in. Blade length: 3 5/8 in. Weight: 6.7 oz.
