The HF-1 Hide Fighter was designed to be the ultimate fixed bladed field knife for hand to hand combat. Steve Woods made this specially for several US military members heading overseas. The full tang design is very strong and durable. Three pins in the handle of very tough G-10. Filed traction areas on the blade spine and butt of the knife. The knife also has an index finger guard that is integral to the knife. A high quality Spec-Ops sheath completes this field ready package.
It features a 6 inch high performance CPM S30V Stainless steel modified Clip Point style blade with matte bead blast finish and a 5 inch contoured handle with CNC Machined Gray G-10 scales and lanyard hole. The S30V stainless steel was designed to offer the best combination of toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance and the vanadium content adds additional hardness and wear resistance. The blade is thick with a very tough spine to give the user additional blade strength as well as tip strength and yet at the same time the grind lines are high enough to produce a very light weight blade with a razor sharp blade edge. The handle was designed to fit the human hand perfectly even if you are wearing gloves during cold weather or wet operations for comfortable long periods of hard use. The 3D machined G-10 handle material is impervious to most liquids and temperature changes and is extremely tough for any environment encountered. Added to all these wonderful features is a choil forward of the guard and a birds beak at the rear of the grip allowing multiple positive gripping positions as well as a thumb ramp to provide positive traction for the thumb. Full tang construction. Overall Length: 11.0 inches. Weighs 10.3 ounces. Includes Spec Ops Brand black Ballistic Nylon sheath with Utility pouch.
