The Garmont Ener-G boots feature the stiffest, burliest flex for all-mountain free-heel skiing. It has a streamlined walk mechanism that is well-protected and easy to use, with a spoiler for a close fit and increased leverage. It is a very aggressive boot, suitable for steeps, high-speed freeriding on- and off-piste, racing, and ski mountaineering. This season's Garmont Ener-G has new Magnesium buckles that are lighter, super-solid, and precise. The lower buckles have Garmont's "Ice Breaker" pin that reduces icing. The new Magnesium canting mechanism is solid and easier to use. The g-fit HIGH liner has been improved with a tougher outer material and a simple, effective lace system.Features:Use: Piste, Off-Piste, Racing, Ski Mountaineering Color: Silver/Red Shell: Triple Injected Pebax Liner: G-Fit Thermoformable Closure: 4 Magnesium buckles and Power Strap Height: 35 cm Weight: 1810 grams (3.98 pounds) Forward Lean: 19, 24 degress and walking mode Sizes: 25-30.5 Backcountry Magazine: "Other boots may offer more of this or that, but Garmont's Ener-G has all around balance for touring and turning. A four-buckle boot, it has plenty of power to drive big skis, yet, as one tester pointed out, 'It has a semi-soft, smooth bellows' to maintain tele sensitivity and prevent tip dive. Triple-injection technology enhances lateral control for holding an edge, but subtle details embellish the boot. Though stiff, the cuff pivots freely in walk mode for unrestricted touring freedom, or locks forward at 19° or 24° for charging. The buckles latch with a natural ease, plus the top two buckles offer a touring hook for greater movement, and the bottom one is reversed, for easier clamping. The G-fit liner is not pre-lasted, meaning you will need to heat mold these to get a good fit. As an aggressive young tester pointed out, before molding 'They fit like my dad's boots.'" Powder Magazine: "As one of the most versatile tele boots available, the burly Ener-G has changed very little over the years - for good reason. With a triple-injected Pebax shell, this four-buckle boot provides a smooth, comfortable flex without compromising strength. It also comes with a walk mode and optional lightweight magnesium buckles."
