20 ft. x 8 ft. This is the most commonly planted palm in cold climates, growing with little or no protection in such unlikely places as Brooklyn, Boise, and Skagway. Large, pleated leaves can reach three feet across, and after several years of growth, the distinctively furry trunk forms. It performs well in full sun, but afternoon shade in hot areas and regular summer water will produce a tree with large, lush foliage. Hardy to Zone 6. Size shipped: One-Gallon Pot.
