We have the expertise to provide you with a professional, accurate appraisal. We appraise both individual items and complete Steiff collections. Whether you are looking for a quick, simple appraisal or a formal one for insurance purposes, let us help you!
An informal appraisal will give you basic information about your item and an estimate range of fair market value and replacement price. We will base this estimate primarily on our experience as a dealer/collector but we will also conduct some research and include references if easily available. Your appraisal will be sent by USPS Priority Mail is provided by email following an advance email copy for $19.95 plus $4.60 postage. Each additional item you wish appraised is $8.95 with no additional charge for postage.
In order to prepare your appraisal, we will need several clear photographs of your item(s) and a brief description of the condition of your item(s). Please attach this information to an email addressed to us at this address: appraisals@steiffbear.com
We can usually prepare an informal appraisal for one item within 2 working days after receiving your information. Requests for additional items may require more time.
We will confirm your order and begin your appraisal as soon as we receive your payment and information about the Steiff you wish appraised.
We will never offer to buy an item for which we provide an appraisal. We charge a flat fee upfront only - regardless of the value of the item appraised.
