A classic soup prepared with the addition of broth and cut up chicken breast. Variation: Add a cup of cream for the last ten minutes of cooking.Serves 4 - 5 ADDITIONS 6 cups chicken (or vegetable) broth 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast Optional Additions: 1 cp white wine or 1/2 cup cream cooking DIRECTIONS In a 2 or 3-quart saucepan bring broth to a boil. Add Soup Mix ingredients. Lower heat and simmer covered for fifteen minutes. Add chicken and simmer ten minutes longer. Add wine or cream, if desired. Let stand five minutes and serve. inventive VARIATION We call this variation the Hunter's Bounty. Because wild rice and mushrooms are natural accompaniments to any fowl, substitute pheasant, quail or duck instead of chicken for a sophisticated soup supper. INGREDIENTS WILD RICE, SHITAKE MUSHROOMS, CARROTS, PETITE PEAS, ONION, CELERY, GREEN ONIONS, HERBS.NO ADDED SALT, NO MSG AND NO PRESERVATIVES Our soup mixes contain little or no salt. To lower the sodium content of the prepared soup, try using low sodium broths or dilute the broth with water.
