Chicken and Dumplings Just like Grandma used to make! Even includes the "drop" dumplings! An entree for six in less than 20 minutes! The whole family is sure to make it home in time for dinner when they know youre serving chicken and dumplings. Good old-fashioned comfort food without the hassle. Youll soon be a believer in the medicinal properties of chicken soup.
You Will Need: 4 cups water 12.5 oz. can chicken 1/3 cup milk
Directions: 1. In a 2-quart saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add contents of soup package and lower heat to a simmer. Gently add chicken (broken into pieces) into simmering soup. 2. Place contents of dumpling package in a small bowl. Stir in 1/3 cup milk with a fork until dough is just moistened (do not overmix or dumplings will be tough). Spoon dumpling dough by the tablespoon into the simmering soup (should make 8 to 10 dumplings). 3. Continue to simmer for 10 minutes uncovered, then cover and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
Ingredients: Soup: dehydrated vegetables including carrots, potatoes, peas and onions, wheat flour, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, chicken base (salt, sugar chicken fat, maltodextrin, hydrolyzed corn wheat gluten soy protein, onion powder, turmeric, natural flavor), and spices. Dumplings: Wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
