Herbert W. Titus It is commonly stated-especially among Christians-that the Bible is the bedrock of the American legal system. Very few, however, understand how and to what extent the Bible has influenced the formation of American law. This book is designed to challenge the reader to develop a Biblical understanding of law, with particular focus on law in the United States of America. The readings are integrated into a narrative commentary designed to guide the reader to a number of different Biblical principles of law. Some of the principles are spelled out in the text, but most of them must be learned by careful study of the cases and issues raised in the text, and especially by a conscientious effot to answer the questions at the end of each chapter.
