Product Description
Your system will bring you and your family water you can trust as long as you don't neglect it. So when the monitor on your Water Treatment System beeps and blinks, it has a good reason. After filtering 1,250 gallons of water or operating for a year, it's letting you know it needs a new filter. Just pop in a replacement to keep your system up to spec. And your water up to snuff. Water Treatment System Description and Features
The Water Treatment System is a point-of-use (POU) water filter utilizing pressed carbon block technology. The filter is made by compressing finely divided, activated carbon into a carbon block. The water is forced through the blocks submicron pore structure by water pressure. The filter cartridge consists of four stages: The first two stages are non-woven fabrics to provide initial particulate reduction. The third stage, a patented carbon core, is effective for chemical reduction. The fourth stage is a porous polymer core that acts as a support medium for the carbon block. Flow Rate The Water Treatment System filter is rated for 1250 gallons at 1 gallon per minute at 60 psi. (Flow rate will vary directly with water pressure and time the filter has been in service.) This is well in excess of the need of the average family of four for one year. Effectively reduces: Lead. The EPA says lead in drinking water can cause serious health problems from reduced birth weight to kidney damage and mental retardation. The Water Treatment System has been tested and certified by NSF International (Std. 53) for the reduction of lead in drinking water. Over 30 Pesticides and Pesticide By-Products. The Water Treatment System reduces chemicals such as atrazine, alachlor, EDB, and other agricultural contaminants. Effectively Reduces Industrial Chemicals. PCBs, PNAs, Hexachloroethylene, and many more industrial chemicals are reduced by the Water Treatment System. Effectively Reduces Chlorine and THMs. Reduces chlorine and THMs - suspected cancer-causing agents from drinking water. Without chlorine, water tastes and smells better.
Reduces Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia Iamblia Cysts. These intestinal parasites may not be destroyed by chlorination. They cause symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea, which resemble the flu but are longer-lasting and more debilitating than most cases of the flu. The Water Treatment System reduces Cryptosporidium oocysts (one of the smallest cysts known in North America) and will therefore reduce larger waterborne parasites. Other Particulate Contaminants. The Water Treatment System effectively reduces dirt, rust, sediment, and scale as small as 0.2 microns (1/300th the diameter of a human hair). Improves Taste Coffee, tea, juice, ice cubes, and soup all have a better flavor and no unusual odors when made with water from the Water Treatment System. Simple to Use Fits most standard water faucets or taps into your cold water line. On-the-counter or under-the-sink, your Water Treatment System suits your needs. Simple to Install No special tools needed! Complete instructions show you step-by-step how to install your Water Treatment System.
