Comments: We have noticed a "hole" in the Pmount cartridge market. So we have taken the best Pmount cartridge Audio Technica has to offer with normally comes with an elliptical needle. Then we removed the stock needle and installed a Linear Contact stylus. This provides a high-end solution for Pmount (plug mount) tonearms at a reasonable cost. A linear Contact needle will provide the best possible fit to the groove of the record. This will translate to longer diamond tip and record life, as well as superior sound fidelity.This is the best selling Pmount cartridge around. Audio Technica, a quality brand name has made this available as a great plug in quick replacement for any (T4P) Pmount linear tracking turntable. Virtually the same cartridge has been sold with and as original equipment across dozens of brands for decades. Rest assured if a search has brought you here, you have found a high end level solution for any (T4P) Pmount linear tracking turntable regardless of the brand. Because this cartridge plugs directly into a rectangular socket at the end of the tonearm, it is known as a "T4P" Pmount cartridge. Other mounting characteristics are that it has no exposed wires in the back and is almost always found on a linear tracking turntable.Notes: If your turntable is linear tracking it means the whole tonearm slides several inches from side to side as opposed to the standard type usually designated 'straight' or 'S shaped' which pivots on a stationary 'hub' assembly at the right rear corner of the turntable. A linear tracking turntable will generally have buttons you must operate to move the tonearm and will almost always be found with a Pmount cartridge.
