Our needle is custom built in Japan at our special request and is the best version found anywhere of the body style that is supplied on the this turntable. It has a .3x.7 elliptical diamond tip for a dramatically superior fit in the groove which means it can pickup significantly more information (fidelity) out of the grooves than the factory supplied conical needle. This will give the best sound for your enjoyment or to your computer for further software processing. Remember, all the software manipulation in the world of your prized recordings cannot make information appear that was not lifted out of your grooves in the first place!Software on the net: You may also find this link full of free/cheap software that you can experiment with to find the best features you may require such as being able to play your 78's at 45rpm and use software to digitally speed up the music to normal speed!
