metallic glass mosaic tiles Metallic glass mosaic tiles sparkle with tiny metallic flakes that are swirled throughout the glass. The metallic flakes are a bright copper-golden color, and the overall effect is stunning. The tiles come FACE-MOUNTED on paper. Simply soak in water to remove the paper. Each mosaic tile is 3/4" x 3/4" and over 1/8" thick, which is a common industry standard for glass mosaic tiles, including vitreous. This means you should be able to use these in designs with many other glass mosaic tiles. Keep in mind that stone and ceramic tiles are often thicker than glass mosaic tile. The faces of the tiles are flat while the backs are embossed with ridges to help glue bond more securely. Like most mosaic materials, these tiles are made for indoor and outdoor use. How much tile do you need? 218 loose tiles will cover 1 square foot with a grout spacing of about 1/16 inch between the tiles. As glued to the paper, the tiles are spaced a little more than 1/16".
